'Grey's Anatomy': Meredith And Derek Can't Find Any Alone Time As Parents (VIDEO)

Valentine's Day can be a lot of fun for young couples, but the whole idea of the holiday can be truly put to the test when that couple is the parents of a young child. As new parents to adopted baby Zola, Meredith and Derek discovered some of these problems trying to celebrate the holiday of romance on this week's "Grey's Anatomy" (Thu., 9 p.m. EST on ABC). Like, how does one go about finding alone time for intimacy when there's a needy child around?

It used to be so easy, when there was no one else in the house demanding time and attention at any moment. Luckily for the couple, Lexie stepped in to watch Zola for the evening of the holiday -- since even sneaking off to the car during the day to try and get things going didn't work when Zola awoke looking for them -- allowing them a much-needed break together.

Of course, for new parents who dote on their child constantly, it can be a struggle as well to be away from them, no matter how desperately they're also craving and needing that physical intimacy. The beautiful thing, though, is that any moment stolen for themselves is like a mini-Valentine's Day, no matter what day of the year it may fall on.

The romance continues every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy."
